As an architect specialised in projects and urban planning, Xavier began his professional career in 1980.
In 1981, he co-founded Martí-Sardà Arquitectes S.L. with Magí Sardà Valls as a service provider company dedicated to the free practice of the profession, creating projects and providing integrated management for the commissions received from both private developers and public bodies.
Teacher of drawing at the Escola D’Arts i Oficis in Barcelona for the academic year 1986-87. Martí-Sardà Arquitectes S.L. has an in-house team of professionals and also employs the services of specialist external collaborators.

In 1981, he co-founded Martí-Sardà Arquitectes S.L. with Xavier Martí Garcés as a service provider company dedicated to the free practice of the profession, creating projects and providing integrated management for the commissions received from both private developers and public bodies.
In 1986, he co-founded Green Project with Alfonso Vidaor Ameztoy (Road Engineer). The aim of this company is to design golf courses, incorporating their relationship with urban planning and sporting projects in their development. Our services include both the technical and works management aspects as well as landscaping. Green Project also performs the integrated environmental management for the projects. Graduated from the Superior Technical School of Architecture, Barcelona in 1983.
Mercè worked for the Barcelona City Council between 1983 and 1986.
In 1986, founds the architectural office. This studio has a team of 10 in-house professionals and employs the services of external collaborators specialised in different fields of architecture, urban planning, restoration and design. We have developed projects and built both public and private housing, residential centres for the elderly and offices as well as undertaking restoration and design.
The projects begin with a dialogue between the team and the client, a dialogue which is maintained throughout the implementation process.
We create and seek quality and comfort, given that they directly influence our lives. This analysis blends traditional concepts and materials with new technologies.
